The real reason we were in Imperial Beach was to check out the birds at the Tijuana Estuary. No, it wasn't really in Tijuana, Mexico, but close (you can see the border fence.) The Estuary was breathtaking, with a large marsh spanning a mile or two. I only have a couple good photos from the morning, but I hope you enjoy.
This is a Meadow Lark. It was singing at the top of its little lungs.
These two photos are of a Horned Lark. If you look closely you can see its little "horns."
We are Greg and Alicia Bradley. We are just regular folks with regular jobs and a regular life.
In 2005, Alicia was diagnosed with breast cancer, and our lives changes dramatically. Through surgeries and chemotherapy, a vision for our future changed from the typical American Dream to something more atypical. After deep prayer, research and education, we decided to pursue a common dream...to chuck it all and go cruising on our 44' Thompson Trawler Charlie Ray.
We untied the lines in late 2007 and made it all the way down to Key West, Florida by Spring 2008. You can follow our cruising adventure through the blog archive below.
Our cruise has ended, but our adventures have just begun! Join us as we take "time to see the world!"
